HOW IT Began
June 24th, 2021 — Miami.
Maria was exactly where she often is at the end of a long day: seated at Casa Tua, a cocktail in hand, unwinding in her element — alongside a friend, and next to a dog.
A few seats away, Daniel sat at dinner with a friend and, coincidentally, a dog whose presence would soon become… unforgettable.
What started as a simple request to switch seats so the dogs could play quickly turned into something far less ordinary.
Reluctantly giving up her spot, Maria found herself mildly inconvenienced… and moments later, convinced Daniel was responsible for an unmistakably bold interruption to the evening.
She approached him, ready to hold him accountable.
It wasn’t him.
It was the dog.
What could have been an awkward moment became something else entirely: laughter, curiosity, and a conversation neither of them wanted to end.
The next morning, a message:
“Are we still on for tonight?”
She said yes.

THE Proposal
February 8th, 2025.
Daniel proposed what he called a “simple weekend away.”
“Just pack the basics,” he said.
Maria did — unsuspecting.
They arrived at The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort, a place layered with meaning, where her childhood memories quietly lived.
The day unfolded with understated perfection: breakfast overlooking the ocean, a private cabana, thoughtful details that felt romantic… but familiar.
With Valentine’s Day approaching, she assumed this was simply Daniel being exceptionally thoughtful.
She had no idea.
Later that afternoon, he suggested they walk toward the pool.
Slightly confused — everything had already been perfect — she followed.
And then, in a moment that felt both entirely unexpected and completely inevitable, she turned around…
And Daniel was on one knee.
